Our Mission & Vision

Hebrew for "The Bridge," HaGesher's mission is connecting believers with the land of Israel. Our passion is creating experiences that enable believers to:

  • Engage in the Word
  • Encounter the People
  • Explore the Land

We accomplish this by offering dynamic study tours, informative events, and educational and inspiring Biblical resources and materials.

STUDY TOURS – Working exclusively with Bar David Tourism in Israel, we offer customized study tours that go beyond typical sightseeing. Arie and his team are all Jewish believers and considered (without exaggeration) Israel’s top tour guides. Our study tours offer participants the opportunity to not only see the sites but to experience the Bible in a tangible, meaningful way.

SPECIAL EVENTS – Interested in learning more about Israel? Or hearing about ways to support Israeli believers? We are available to you, your church, or your small group to share about Israel past and present as well as ways to engage beyond a study tour.

RESOURCES & MATERIALS – We love Biblical resources! Be sure to check out our blog for numerous resources and materials about Israel, Biblical history, culture, geography and much, much more!

OUR History

HaGesher began as a small seed, a simple dream to visit Israel, which flourished into a vision to engage believers with the Holy Land. Like many believers, Michelle (owner and manager) dreamt of going to Israel. In April 2007, that desire was realized when she was asked to lead an Israel team for her church. As she and the team exited the Ben Gurion airport, she saw the signs for Jerusalem and knew this trip would not be her last. Four months later, she returned to Israel and spent six months serving as a volunteer at moshav Yad Hashmona, a place that became a second home.

Michelle’s love for Israel – the people and the land – solidified during this time. Her desire to engage others also grew and she began exploring how she could continue bringing people to Israel. After returning to the States, she began working with her local church to host on-going study tours. Every year since, she has led teams back to experience the land firsthand.

During this time, she also began developing team preparation materials and hosting meetings for trip participants. What began as simply administrating tours grew into a full-fledged passion to see people experience the Bible through the land and connect with Israeli believers. Additionally, she began teaching through various avenues at her church, an opportunity that allowed her to share lessons from Israel. As she engaged with both Israel team members and others in the church, she saw a genuine need to resource the body with materials that offered insight into Israel as well as Biblical resources containing culture, geography, and history.

Thus was born HaGesher, LLC. Officially launched in January 2016, the organization would not only continue to offer top-notch study tours with the best guides in Israel, but also serve as a resource center for believers wanting to learn more about Israel, engage the Word, and grow in their Biblical understanding. The rest, they say, is history!
